My Boudoir Sessions continue to be my most popular. When I started in 2017, I knew I wanted to empower women somehow but I completely underestimated how much Boudoir was in demand! I've photographed hundreds of women over the years, for many different reasons. A lot of women struggle to deem themselves worthy of a shoot just because they want one, and instead feel they need a reason, such as to give as a gift to a partner. I totally embrace and support women who come to me just for themselves. I don't think there's any greater gift for yourself and it's certainly top tier self care! I've welcomed a lot of brides this year, with the main aim to give as a gift on the wedding morning, but I've found that a lot of brides also wanted a bit of boost before their big day and before being in front of the camera on their wedding day. The Boudoir genre continues to hold the most responsibility, as a photographer you can't really learn how to make people feel comfortable with you, you are either that sort of person or not. Luckily this is something that comes naturally to me and I have a deep understanding of the impact an image can have on someone's self esteem, so it is always my main priority to deliver images that leave a positive feeling with my clients. 2024 has seen many babies come in to the studio. I particularly love welcoming maternity clients back! It's great to have some continuity between the two sessions. I like to give parents a choice of colours so that they can co-ordinate the wall art with their homes or nurseries. As always, I love to include other members of the family, human siblings as well as furry ones! It's great to offer mum the option or a makeover as well, to take the hassle away of having to get ready at home before the session. Going in to my 8th year, it's truly wonderful to see returning clients with their growing families. It's always an honour to be repeatedly chosen.
